don't throw away the old stuff

Business is fueled by communication. Even though we are relying on technology increasingly to distribute information, the most effective business medium remains person-to-person. Through face-to-face communications, we hold the power to inform, persuade, motivate and bring individuals and groups to action.

Major decisions are often made on the strength of a single presentation. So, preparing, developing and delivering business communications are among the most important skills a professional can master. And becoming a better presenter...in control, poised, and confident...is within reach of every business professional.

Public radio commentator Chuck Goldstone can make you a more productive and more persuasive business communicator.

For more than 15 years, Chuck and his Word-of-Mouth™ Presentation Skills Workshop have helped professionals learn to develop and deliver more effective business presentations, the kind of presentations that hold the audience's attention and move them to action. The workshop is an indispensable tool for anyone who gives presentations, whether to inform or train, sell or motivate, whether to a large audience in a meeting facility or conference room or to a single decision maker across a desk.

In two half days sessions, you'll leave armed with skills and techniques to change forever the way you develop and deliver presentations.
For ever. For the better.

You'll learn:
To organize your ideas conceptually, so the message is as clear to the audience as it is to you
How to begin the task of preparing a presentation by identifying your goals and the needs of your audience
Learn how to cut the time of preparation while enhancing the quality and impact of the presentation.
Techniques to write a presentation that can be delivered confidently
The 20 important Rules for Writers
How to prevent problems from occurring
How to recover from the nightmare
How and why to rehearse and techniques to make rehearsal more effective
How to deliver with poise and confidence
How to evaluate, critique and revise your presentation before you give it
How to use PowerPoint and other presentation packages as a strategic business tool

Workshop
The workshop consists of 2 half-day sessions.

Session One provides the tools and demonstration. It offers the background information that an effective business presenter should know.

Session Two is a smaller group session, usually held one week later. You will learn about effective structure and delivery by:

Delivering your own presentations to the group
Analyze your presentation through videotape review
Learn how to evaluate and coach others

You'll leave with a valuable notebook and practical checklists to help you efficiently develop future presentations.
